Transtec evaluated six sites for tire-pavement noise and pavement texture as part of a CP Tech Center program. Transtec tested tire-pavement noise using OBSI (On-Board Sound Intensity) and evaluated texture using RoboTex, Transtec’s robotic pavement texture profiler. RoboTex measures in three dimensions with sub-millimeter accuracy, making it particularly suitable for pavements with complex directional texture.
