The Transtec Group’s Dave Merritt to Present at MO/KS ACPA Conference

Dave Merritt, Project Director at The Transtec Group, is presenting at the Missouri/Kansas Chapter, American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) 38th Annual Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) Conference in Kansas City.

Merritt’s presentation, titled “Pavements of the Future,” will project the future of transportation, including topics such as connected autonomous vehicles and electric vehicles, and what it means for pavements. The presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20 at 8:15 am.

The MO/KS Chapter, ACPA Annual PCCP Conference runs February 19 through 21 and will be held at the Sheraton Hotel at Crown Center. Merritt has more than 19 years of experience related to pavement research and engineering. He has been involved with numerous research projects for FHWA, SHRP2, and several State Departments of Transportation investigating all aspects of pavement materials, performance, specifications, construction, and testing. He currently manages Transtec’s pavement surface characteristics program which involves oversight of research and testing for texture, friction, smoothness, tire-pavement noise, and distress imaging. He also oversees Transtec’s involvement in concrete pavement efforts related to precast concrete pavement and concrete pavement smoothness.
